On May 22, Nike announced that it had signed a 7 year, 90 million dollar endorsement deal with 18 year old basketball phenomenon, Lebron James. James, 18, is just about to graduate from High School and is expected to be drafted directly into the NBA.
We can use the chart of the date that James signed the deal with Nike to underscore how powerful and important FINANCIAL LINKAGES are...and to demonstrate yet again that MAGI ASTROLOGY WORKS.
In fact, we can also use this example to underscore how important CINDERELLA LINKAGES are. Many Cinderella Linkages are ALSO Financial Linkages...and certainly for an 18 year old to be given a 90 million dollar contract before he has even signed with an NBA team, after having been the child of a single mother, can't be thought of as anything but a Cinderella story.
We hope that Lebron goes on to be as successful as everyone expects him to be
[Note...the deal was 'announced' on the morning of May 22...but there is every reason to believe that it would have been signed by the evening of May 21. Venus moves rather quickly, especially in Helio Longitude, and is a key transiting planet with regard to the deal ( Venus symbolizes Money), so keep in mind that while the chart shown has been cast for May 21, 2003]
Lebron's Deal also can be used as a very good teaching tool with regard to the difference between ACTIVE TRANSITS AND PASSIVE TRANSITS. An Active Transit is a transit that is appplying...a Passive Transit is a transit that is separating...but you can still NATALIZE a passive transit.
The major ACTIVE Transits that Lebron was/is having at this time is the CINDERELLA TRANSIT, AND GOLDEN TRANSIT OF CHIRON PARALLEL TO HIS VENUS. In our books and on our websites we have underscored that Chiron is the planet of CINDERELLAS of all kinds...and that BOTH Chiron and Venus are also FINANCIAL PLANETS. Whenever we natalize something that makes a LINKAGE between a Financial planet in our chart and a Financial planet in the chart of the natalized event, we create a Financial Linkage...and this Financial Linkage is So good and So powerful that it is a GOLDEN LINKAGE. Remember that Bill Gates has this linkage with the chart of the current Microsoft Corporation.
In addition, Lebron also had the transit of Helio Venus in an enhancement alignment ( a quincunx) to his Helio Pluto in Longitude. Since Venus and Pluto are BOTH FINANCIAL PLANETS, this is another GOLDEN TRANSIT.
In Heliocentric Latitude, Transiting Neptune, another FINANCIAL PLANET, is applying to parallel Lebron's Earth ( and indeed everyone's Earth/Moon complex in Latitude) AND also is applying to contra-parallel his Uranus. Uranus is not a Financial Planet...but it is the planet of Mass Media, Fame and Popularity. The transits of Neptune are very slow...so they occur very rarely...and with regard to fields involved in Mass Media ( like Big Advertising...and the NBA)....the transit of Neptune to Uranus can be very very very powerful...it says 'long term' ( Neptune) Fame ( Uranus)....as well as Famous (Uranus) Long Term Financial Security ( Neptune). Lebron's contract is for 7 years...this is not decades...but we will be watching Lebron James advertisments for quite a long time.
In Geo Longitude Lebron is also having the transit of Uranus in an enhancement alignment to his Pluto. Again, Uranus is not a Financial Planet...but Pluto is...Pluto is the planet of Profit, Big Business, and Risk Taking, Competitive Fields ( like the NBA)...and Uranus is the planet of Mass Media and Mass Entertainment ( again the NBA)..as well as Mass Media Advertising. Pluto is also the planet of MAJOR BEGINNINGS...and ELEVATED LEVELS OF TALENT. This transit marks a Famous ( Uranus) major beginning ( Pluto)....it also marks Famous ( Uranus) Elevated Levels of Talent ( Pluto). It also marks Risk Taking ( Pluto) in the hope of making profit ( Pluto) in Mass Market Advertising ( Uranus). Because of the fields that Lebron is venturing into, the transit and linkage of Uranus and Pluto for him is BETTER than it is for an average person who is not involved in these fields, and bumps it up very powerfully.
In addition, Lebron has just recently had some other transits that peaked and began to pull away...but that have not entirely moved out of orb yet.
Neptune at 16.8 South in Declination has moved .2 degrees away from the contra-parallel to Lebron's Chiron...so this is not an ACTIVE TRANSIT at this time...but it is STILL WITHIN ORB. As our readers know, the positive alignment of Neptune and Chiron is also a CINDERELLA TRANSIT AND LINKAGE...and because both Chiron and Neptune are FINANCIAL PLANETS, it is also a FINANCIAL LINKAGE.
At the same time, Transiting Pluto in declination at 13.5 is just a bit too far out of orb to be considered parallel to Lebron's Venus. But this allows us to underscore another important principle of Magi Astrology...that THE TRANSITS OF THE MIDPOINTS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE TRANSITS OF THE PLANETS.
The Transiting midpoint of Pluto/Chiron is at 14.25 South...just past Lebron's Venus at 14.8, and still within orb. Since both Chiron and Pluto are FINANCIAL PLANETS, it stands to reason that the Pluto/Chiron midpoint would be an important FINANCIAL MIDPOINT...the Linkage of Venus with Pluto/Chiron says Money ( Venus) from Noteworty/Remarkable ( Chiron) Elevated Talent, Competitiveness, and Profitablility ( Pluto). Why else would a 19 year old be given a 90 million dollar deal and be scouted by the NBA?!?
In the same vein, Transiting Chiron in Helio Longitude is past the trine to Lebron's Venus...but still within orb. Meaning that by signing the deal at this time, with the ACTIVE Transit of Chiron to parallel his Venus in Declination, and the PASSIVE Transit of Chiron trine his Venus in Helio Longitude, Lebron NATALIZED a TRANSDIMENSIONAL CINDERELLA LINKAGE AND GOLDEN LINKAGE.
